Who runs ILEA?

ILEA MSP is governed by a local Board of Directors that is nominated and elected by the chapter. At the international level, ILEA is run by a Board of Governors and a full-time management team. The chapter and international boards are volunteer positions

Can I attend an event without being a member?

You can attend a chapter meeting at a non-member rate. We encourage you to try ILEA out. You will get the most out of ILEA if you join and become involved in the chapter.

When and where are the chapter meetings and events held?

Each month the ILEA Minneapolis-St. Paul Chapter strives to provide you with timely, relevant and high-quality programs that help you to improve your skill set and to extend your network of trusted experts. Our monthly programs alternate between Educational Programs that feature renowned speakers and valuable content and Networking Programs that provide the perfect opportunity to meet face to face with industry colleagues. All monthly programs are open to both ILEA members and non-members.
Diverse topics range from catering and design trends to event safety and security and are delivered by experts in each selected field of study.

Our chapter typically holds programming the third Tuesday of each month.

Does ILEA offer any type of certification?

Yes, the Certified Special Events Professional or CSEP designation. The  CSEP designation is the hallmark of professional achievement in the  special events industry. It is earned through education, performance,  experience, and service to the industry, and reflects a commitment to  professional conduct and ethics.  For more information click here.

I am a member, how do I make changes to my member record?

If you are a new member or have never logged into the International  Website, you will use the membership number listed on your ILEA ID; and  your password is welcome. However, once you change your password after  your first log-in; you will need to retain it for your reference and  future entry to the site.
