BIPOC Accelerator Scholarship

International Live Events Association Minneapolis/St. Paul is pleased to offer a BIPOC Accelerator Scholarship opportunity for a full year’s membership with the Minneapolis/St.Paul Chapter.

To apply for this scholarship, please fill out the form, linked here by Monday, December 9, 2024.

Names will be removed from the submissions and reviewed anonymously by a selection committee. All scholarship applications will be notified of the outcome. The purpose of this application form is not to judge applicants on grammatical or typographical accuracy or perfection, but rather to gauge the applicant's level of excitement for and engagement with our local chapter. We want to ensure that resources allocated towards this accelerator scholarship are given to candidates who understand that with the ILEA community, the more engagement, the more value that will be derived.

The only requirement for the scholarship is that the recipient attend at least 50% of the monthly programs, meetings, and events in order to reap the full rewards offered by being a member of ILEA-MSP. If you are unable to attend at least 50% of our monthly meetings, we ask that you please save this opportunity for someone else. Anticipated program dates are:

This scholarship aims to accelerate career growth and improve access to association membership for any current or emerging talent in the live events industry.

This year (2025) eligibility is being offered exclusively to BIPOC event professionals as ILEA-MSP aims to ensure it is continuing to work on improving access and inclusion to the resources we have available within our association and to amplify perspectives and voices that typically go unrepresented in the Twin Cities events community. The purpose of the accelerator scholarship is to assist in advancing the career of the event professional by growing their network and educational opportunities through the year of membership.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

A one-year membership scholarship to the International Live Event Association (value of $375)
Complimentary attendance to all monthly programs, membership events, pop-ups from January 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025. (estimated value of $450).
Complimentary attendance to the annual MN Star Awards 2024 (estimated value of $125)
Total scholarship value: $950
