ILEA-MSP COVID-19 Statement
To our valued International Live Events Association Minneapolis-St.Paul Community:
The last couple weeks have been a stressful and trying time for all of us in the live event industry as we monitor the rapidly changing situation with COVID-19. With ILEA-MSP being the authoritative voice for live events in the upper Midwest and beyond, we have been tracking all information and changes as they are announced and are here to serve as support for our local community.
The safety and health of all live event professionals, clients and guests is the top priority. Following the guidance of the Minnesota Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization, we have decided to cancel this month’s program on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. All current registered attendees should expect to see an email this week which will include a credit voucher code to utilize for a future program.
The ILEA-MSP Board of Directors and Star Awards chairs will be meeting on Monday, March 16 to discuss our contingency plan regarding the Minnesota Star Awards. Additional information will be announced to the community after this meeting.
We will continue to actively communicate any changes or adjustments that may need to happen for future programs, master series or member pop-ups and are looking into other ways we can continue to bring you education, support and networking opportunities while keeping safety top of mind. The International Live Events Association will be providing two webinar opportunities this week on the topics of COVID-19: Legal Strategies for Meetings & The #ILEAStrong Community: Persisting and Rebuilding Together. Stay tuned to our social media channels and the ILEA-MSP website for more information once webinar registration is available.
While the way we connect, create and collaborate with one another may shift course during this evolving situation, our commitment to the advancement, education and support of our community remains the same.
