Human Trafficking Awareness training will identify what human trafficking is, prevention indicators and provide case examples from human trafficking investigations in Minnesota.

Session goals:
- Raise awareness of Human Sex Trafficking
- What is human trafficking vs human smuggling
- What should watch for during events (festivals, sporting events, conferences, hotels, etc.)
- How can you help and who should you contact?

Christopher Oelkers, Homeland Security Investigations
IMG_0250.jpgChris Oelkers has been a special agent (SA) with the former Immigration and Naturalization Service and Immigration and Customs Enforcement – Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) for 23 years, serving in Kansas City, Missouri and Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. Since 2008, SA Oelkers has supervised special agents, analysts and auditors within the HSI Intelligence and Domestic Operations Programs. SA Oelkers currently supervises investigations involving human smuggling, human trafficking, identity and immigration benefit fraud, human rights violations and worksite enforcement.
