Unifying the Live Events Industry: Locally, Nationally, Around the Globe

When:  Apr 16, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM (CT)
Associated with  Minneapolis/St. Paul Chapter

ABOUT THIS PROGRAM:

Our industry is changing. Quickly!

“Pinterest-educated” consumers, independent contractors, mergers and acquisitions, “Return on Experience”...these are just some of the “challenges” facing professionals in the live event space. What’s next? And what can/should we as individuals, businesses and associations be doing to foster the growth and professionalism of our craft?

Join ILEA President Sara Grauf, CSEP and past ILEA President Jodi Collen, CSEP for an interactive conversation about the current and future state of the live events industry. Working in small groups, we’ll venture to tackle a few tough questions:

Why we struggle with “professionalism” in the creative live event space, and what can we do about it?

Commoditization: what it is, what it means for our industry, and how to address price vs. value?

What should our industry and associations do to ensure our relevancy and strengthen our position in the global economy?
